Splendid Take Gold at The Games
Splendid athletes walked away with the much-coveted Gold medal in the first official games of the summer last week. Admittedly we're talking about the Graphic Games held in Golden Square, rather than that thing in Stratford, but nonetheless we're still glowing with pride.
Team Apollo Splendido challenged a number of companies based in Soho and soon showed their winning coordination skills in the 3 legged race. It was a closely fought battle, but the team seized victory in the final round with a nail biting tug-o-war finish, which has left one UX designer with hospital-worthy rope burn.
The team was somewhat revitalised when they were awarded a 2ltr Golden paint tin (full of Golden Gin), and a shiny medal to take home to their mum.
It was a proud moment that brought a tear to the eye...and several people to the bar.

Be creative. Be in touch. Blab all over the place.
You know that cool band you went to see that your friend couldn't make it to? Or that amazing night out you had that your friend didn't make it along to - the one where you ended up singing Queen songs with your arms around a policeman? Or that birthday of yours your friend missed? Or that talking dog you saw that your friend wasn't around to see?
Ok, apart from maybe taking a little look at your friend's commitment to this friendship of yours, imagine you could capture any spontaneous or perfectly composed moment and share it.
Sometimes an SMS or a picture message just doesn't cut it and video can be too shaky or waaaay too big to send to someone. PhotoBlab gives you the ability to share a neat little slideshow of up to five photos with accompanying audio to a network of friends in a simple feed. You can also share on Facebook, by Twitter or by email. There's even the option to send private Blabs (so your slushy poem recital and pictures of flowers to that special someone is safe).
PhotoBlab uses your phone's camera and built in mic, so you don't need anything special to make dazzling Blabs. Add filters and crop your photos. Record, re-record and edit your audio. You get 15 seconds of audio as standard and the option of a one-time in-app payment upgrade to a full two minutes allowance. Send as much or as little as you want.
The possibilities of moments to capture are endless. Here are some suggestions, just in case your imagination has momentarily seized up:
. a birthday song and a wish
. moments from a band's concert
. baby's first words
. Fireworks
. a drunk friend or relative doing karaoke
. a talking dog (seriously, there must be one somewhere)
Be creative. Be in touch. Blab all over the place. Its totally up to you...
